As I wrote about a week ago, the Twins have now signed Free Agent  veteran relief pitcher Craig Breslow. However, they haven’t given him a major league contract, but instead a minor league contract. Breslow will have to prove his punch before he comes into the games in the 8th to throw a few strikes.

Don’t get me wrong, Breslow is a quality relief pitcher, however he hasn’t had the easiest time the last few years. He spent 2 of the last 3 years with the Red Sox in 2014 and 2015, then left for the west coast Marlins for last season pitching a combined 4.87 ERA over those seasons.

Breslow will have to compete with others, such as Matt Belisle who the Twins recently signed as well. But of course, that’s if he gets on the 40 man roster.
